What do I do all summer (and fall, and winter, and spring)? I dream of relaxing at the beach for a week or so and enjoying the time with my husband and kids after a long year of focusing on my students. We teachers need the summer to decompress and look forward to another year of learning come August. I look forward to the sound of waves and hot, hot sun driving all thoughts of my busy classroom from my mind. Those other weeks? They are spent cruising around for good ideas on Pinterest, creating games (my passion), pouring over new curriculum, and trying to be as prepared as possible for day one of students.
